Welcome to Sunshine Arts Gallery Online. Sunshine Arts began as a modest mat cutting business started by Jim Franklin out of his apartment in Waikiki in 1996 with his last $20.00, a used mat cutter, and a borrowed $100.00. A year later Jim was offered a commercial location in a vacated building on the Windward side of Oahu. Jim accepted the offer and moved into the building, located on the only road following the coast on the eastern side of the island. His vision was that if you visit Oahu and take a drive around the island, you will have the opportunity to see great art at Sunshine Arts Gallery!
Over the years, Sunshine Arts has improved their building and hosts a large 3600 square foot air-conditioned gallery filled with fine art. Sunshine Arts represents over 60 artists, as well as a full service custom picture framing department, a wholesale mat department.
