How is artwork selected on Sunshinearts.net?
Sunshinearts.net features the work of artists who live and create in Hawaii. We also include the work of a small number of mainland artists to honor their longstanding relationship with our gallery. We represent select tropical and Hawaiian art which has been evaluated for the artist’s reputation and style, as well as for the collectible quality of the artwork.
Where is your company located?
Sunshinearts.net is a locally owned and operated business located in Kaneohe on Oahu Hawaii. Our physical address is 47-653 Kamehameha Hwy Kaneohe Hawaii 96744. Because we are located in Hawaii, we are able to maintain close relationships with every artist we show and are in touch with the local art scene. If you are interested in a work of art on our site, and live or are visiting the islands, we are happy to arrange a live showing of the work.
Can I order artwork by phone instead?
Yes, you are welcome to order from our gallery in the manner that makes you feel the most comfortable. Although we have gone the extra mile to protect your privacy and security during transactions on our website, we understand that some customers may choose to order off-line. If you prefer to avoid on-line transactions, please call us at (808) 239 2992 so that a gallery representative can help you complete your purchase.
Will my purchase be taxed?
Only pieces delivered to addresses in Hawaii will be taxed. If you live in the state of Hawaii, your total purchase price will include a tax amount of 4.712 percent.
How will I know my order has been received by the artist?
At the time of checkout, Sunshinearts.net will send you an email to confirm the details of your purchase. If applicable, we also contact the artist to confirm their acceptance. Sunshinearts.net does not charge the customer's credit card until the artist confirms that the order can be completed and delivered as expected. We monitor and escrow the transaction so there is no risk to the artist or buyer.

What is a Giclée?
A Giclée, derived from the French term meaning "spray of ink," is a revolutionary and new printing process. The Giclée process creates the finest digital prints that can be created off an original. An original piece of artwork must first be converted into digital format by, for example, scanning. After attaching the blank paper or canvas on to a drum, a digital ink jet printer sprays a fine stream of ink – more than four million droplets per second – onto the paper, exactly duplicating the original image. The artist completes the process by applying UV light resistant coatings on top of the digital reproduction. The apparent resolution of the digital print is 1,800 dots per inch, which makes these prints as fine in quality as their originals. Since no screens are used in Giclee printing, the prints have a higher resolution than lithographs and a more dynamic color range.
Can I order from anywhere in the world?
Yes, Sunshinearts.net artists will ship to anywhere in the world; however, no returns are available on international orders. What if my artwork arrives damaged?
We do our best to package each piece of art carefully for shipment, but there may be the rare occasion when your item arrives damaged. A gallery representative will assist you in selecting the option that works best for you – replacement of the damaged work (if multiple editions are available), credit towards the purchase of another item or a full refund.
How much does shipping cost?
The shipping cost of items vary depending on the size, weight and destination. It is usually much cheaper to send within the US than internationally. We provide free packaging and only charge extra for shipping, which we confirm with our clients prior to billing.
How is art shipped?
A gallery representative or in some cases the artist of the piece you’ve selected will professionally pack, insure, ship, and track your order. Sunshinearts.net artwork is shipped via the United States Postal Service or FedEx. How long does it take for my art to arrive?
Unless otherwise indicated on the artwork’s product description, each piece is shipped within 7 days of your order date. Items in inventory usually ship immediately.
Will my artwork arrive with the frame?
Most Sunshinearts.net artwork arrives unframed. This allows you to select the frame that best suits your artwork for display in your home or office. It also keeps shipping costs at a minimum. Most paintings are shipped on wooden stretchers, ready for hanging. Larger paintings are sometimes shipped securely rolled, either to prevent damage in transit or due to shipping requirements. Most qualified framers are able to stretch a rolled painting inexpensively and easily. If you require assistance selecting a frame, please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. A gallery representative can also recommend frames for your piece from our in-house framing department.
In most cases, our artists have signed their work. In cases of editions, they have also numbered them.
